Hi everyone, I have Florida MyBlue insurance under my moms plan as I am a dependent. I have had it since 2020. I attended college in a different state and was issued a college health plan through Anthem (I did not pay for it, it was granted to me by the university). I used the MyBlue plan whenever I was not in school (only in Florida) and only used the Anthem plan in California during school. I received a notice from Florida Blue saying they would not pay claims because Anthem was my primary insurance (which was not the case, Florida Blue has always been primary). I filed appeals and COB forms explaining the situation and was told by Florida Blue they would reprocess the claims and pay out. This was back in November 2021. Although they have paid out some claims, there are still 55 claims that have been denied/reversed since I first started the plan in 2020. I have been on the phone with them countless times and filed out countless forms only to be told they we’re still processing. It’s been almost 6 months and the situation is still the same. Is there anyone I can contact in regards to this? Im being harassed by doctors offices and collections agencies to pay these claims when Florida blue should’ve covered them in the first place. I don’t know if I can speak with a state representative or congressman or someone that can remedy the situation. I don’t know if this is enough to contact a lawyer over but I am exhausted by this whole ordeal.
