Georgia Health Insurance Help

Hi and thank you in advance for reading and any help/advice! I live in Georgia and have health insurance through my work, which is a deduction of $530 per paycheck ($1060 total per month). To be eligible for this plan I have to work 30 hours per week. I am 39yo, married, and we have a 2yo. My husband is starting to pick up a lot more hours and I’m my child’s sole caregiver. Because of that and a few other reasons, I feel a need to cut back my hours at work (which will then make me ineligible for employer health insurance). I’ve only used some online estimator calculators to try and determine if we can afford marketplace insurance, and I believe we can, but I have a question… Do I have to wait to do a marketplace application until I have officially reduced my hours so I can accurately answer what my (new) pay is? I am eager to apply now with my estimated pay (reducing my hours by 10 a week) but am worried about “lying” on the application since I haven’t made any changes at work yet (and wouldn’t know when to say my new insurance start date is yet). But also trying to get a better idea of the cost before I talk to my manager. Any advice for us would be so very appreciated. Health insurance makes me nervous! 🙂
