Getting rid of employer health insurance

I was told recently that $660 a month is too much for three people at a $5000 deductible (through employer) Looking at healthcare.gov, I’m seeing fractions of the cost. My first thought it’s too good to be true. My wife just gave birth and my son was added to the insurance. They’re retro billing and I’m probably looking at a $10k bill. It’s currently open enrollment period, I’m afraid we won’t keep our doctors and they’ll try to stick me with the bill if we leave. Thoughts?
