Hi me and my girlfriend will be having a kid this month. She is currently on medicaid and we are not married. She makes 0 due to being unemployed and i make 85k a year. Are we technically a house hold even though we aren’t married? I currently live in VA and covered under my fathers plan for another year. Is there a way her and the baby can still qualify for medicaid if this is the case? Although I do make good money, theres no way I can afford a family plan due to school debt and house bills also Insurances don’t cover a spouse without being married. Any advice helps
