I’m currently on Medicaid when has been EXTREMELY helpful, as I have been in rather… Rough health for some time. Sadly, this last doctor visit has me in tears.
So I was previously taking some medicine that has some rather awful side effects, and definitely requires time to wean off. Said medicine was no longer working for me, and I was on a weaning schedule that my doctor agreed with, but since I was nearing the end and having days where I didn’t take it at all, it was REALLY messing with my head. One of those days happened, and I literally could not stand without holding onto a wall, I was so lightheaded and dizzy. When I called into work, I was told I was required a doctor’s note or I’d be written up.
Even though I knew why it was happening, and knew I just needed to be careful and NOT work that day, I had to go to the doctor for a note.
I just received the EOB for that appt, and I’m crying. I can’t afford the bill, and I couldn’t help that I had to go to the doctor because of my job. I don’t know what to do. IS there anything I can do? It says I can dispute, but I don’t think it’d go well for me…
