I enrolled in Fidelis’ silver-tier healthcare plan in mid-December for a January 1 start date. I got an email from the NY healthcare site confirming this enrollment (although I can’t currently find it). I got a bill in the mail for my first month’s premium, due 12/31/21, which I promptly paid. I received an email confirmation of my payment.
I haven’t received any correspondence, via mail or email, about my Member ID, about the start of my benefits, etc. I reached out to Fidelis via email but of course it required a Member ID number.
Is this unusual? This is my first time enrolling in healthcare so I’m not really sure what to expect. I’d like to get my card asap and start making appointments and letting my pharmacy know of my new insurance info.
