We got private insurance through Anthem and it was honestly a shock at how good it was. $100 deductible, $950 out of pocket max per person, 4 people, $216/month. I believe it was a healthcare market plan? Either way, amazing. I am 34 weeks pregnant and I was just looking at the 2022 premiums and it is now a $6800 deductible, $8700 out of pocket, $504 a month. I am due in February and we will be going to one income (roughly 30,000, promotion pending) until the baby turns 5 and goes to kindergarten.
We had the entire year budgeted and now I feel screwed and don’t know what to do. It’s such a massive jump.
Any advice? Besides cry? We’ve been denied for Medicaid twice for some reason.
