Health insurance for newborn Twins

Hi, I have been reading many posts and I just want to make sure I understand that I’m kind of screwed either way.

I am currently pregnant with twins. I have great albeit expensive health insurance through my job. My husband is self employed and qualified for state insurance and he pays $40 to have basic insurance.

My issue is that the family plan that my work offers is $265 per week. That is about half of my paycheck after taxes. Is there no way I can get the twins on state insurance (even if I have to pay something)?

I currently live in NJ if that helps. Thanks in advance. Also sorry, I didn’t know what to make the flair.
