Hi,
I live in Ontario Canada and I will be attending school at UB about once every 3 weeks. I am on campus for 2 classes and drive back home after.
The school is requiring me to purchase insurance that costs close to $1,000 for 4 months. It’s pretty ridiculous for me to pay $1,000 for eight days a semester.
I advised the school I already purchased travel insurance just to be on the safe side. But they aren’t budging in terms of waiving it. They want it to be U.S based insurance that meets their requirements. I also tried calling other health insurance providers like Fidelis Care, however they cannot do anything for me as I am not a U.S resident. I already have travel insurance in place and workplace benefits so I will never use this at all.
I was wondering if I had any other options or am I stuck paying for insurance that I won’t use at all?
Thanks in advance
