Im really still confused about how medical insurance works in this country. This is my current plan while having a PPO within one of the big brand networks. Monthly premium: $695, deductible: $800, with $3500 out of pocket. I feel like every 6 weeks Im hit with another ~$200 bill and its all just seems like a scam to me. Everytime you call the insurance company to just try and educate yourself it seems as though you either get a kindergartener on the line or just a stonewaller. Im seriously considering dropping off from my plan completely, wing it next year and just pay straight out of pocket. I know hospitals will negotiate with you if you don’t have any insurance. At this point it seems like a reasonable option..
