So, my work never notified me that we were changing insurers and my insurance never notified me that my plan was being canceled and I just learned when trying to pick up a prescription that I’ve been uninsured since June. I learned of and went on healthcare.gov and followed the steps for quotes and immediately started getting emails texts and calls that all felt very scammy? Is that normal like is that supposed to happen? Also lots of taking me to a new page to a new page to a new page all asking for the same info which also feels off.
I’m very new to all of this as the plan I was on was the first time I’ve not been on my mom’s insurance, and it was all done through work and only active since last October so not even a year. I live in MD so I’m thankful I realized now instead of after the 15th but I don’t want to get ripped off because I’m rushing to meet the deadline. Are there tips or things I should avoid on the website or is it normal for it to feel like a total scam? Sorry if this is the wrong place or similar to another post I’m just stressed and unsure what to do. Thanks!!!!
