This is not a super technical or complicated question, but on the application on healthcare(.)gov, it asks my employers phone number. Do they actually call? I’ll be honest, I work for a very small business with only a single line that goes to a receptionist/rarely a manager. I would be kind of embarrassed to have my already very overworked manager/owner have to deal with the government because of me. Especially considering I’m specifically applying because my husband lost his job, which isn’t really a topic I want to discuss with her if I don’t have to. I know it sounds silly to worry about, but I’m dying to know.
