Help choosing health insurance plan?

So I’m (24,F) going to be an official employee for a company starting on Monday. I have never had benefits before, so trying to go through all the available information has been a little overwhelming so far. Not to mention that I’m not 100% sure how insurance works…

I’m just torn between two options, the Low option and the “OH Value” option. Both include HSA, and both require you to pay full the full cost for prescription drugs until you meet the deductible. Then you pay the coinsurance once you meet it. For preventative drugs you pay $15 copay and the deductible does not apply.

Low option:

44.65 per pay period ($89.30 per month)

In-Network – $2,200 deductible, 30% coinsurance

Out-of Network – $4,400 deductible, 50% coinsurance

OH Value:

$67.20 per pay period ($134.40 per month)

In-Network – $1,400 deductible, 10%-20% coinsurance (depends on the provider I choose)

Out-of-Network – $2,800 deductible, 40% coinsurance

I’m not planning on using Out-of-Network at all if I can help it, but I’ve included them just in case.

From what I’ve heard, if you’re young and healthy you should go for the high deductible plan. However, I struggle with mental health and would really like to get the help I need with therapy and medication, so I’m not sure if I should go with the lower deductible because of this… I’m not really sure if antidepressants count as a preventative drug.

Any advice would be appreciated, thank you 🙂
