I am trying to help a neighbor who will be moving out of CA to AL. He currently uses Kaiser and will need medical coverage in AL, he wants to have everything in place before he moves. He has a preexisting condition. I assume he must qualify for medicare/medicaid, but I’m pretty positive he is not currently enrolled and I am not familiar with the plan and he will need supplemental coverage, I think, bc of his condition. Can someone give me a crash course and what steps need to be taken? His sister is here helping, but she really has no idea what to do.
