My company has a pretty comprehensive choice of medical insurance to choose from. Many forms of PPO, EPO, POS, most are free, but there are a couple that have high premiums but look like they cover a lot better.
About me, I’m under 30, pretty healthy, although I’ve recently experienced a couple severe allergic reactions to foods so I will be going to an allergist. I’ve always been afraid of going to the doctor from fear of the medical bill and could use some liberating. Currently I’m paying $100/mo for a HDHP plan with almost 0 employer contribution and I’m very lucky to move on.
Having a hard time figuring out how to prioritize co-pay vs deductible vs Out of pocket max. Also unfamiliar with how often people visit out of network doctors.
Location: New York
age: 28
zipcode: Unsure, moving to NY soon.
income: 200K
