Had a question about the most cost effective way to approach this situation, any help is appreciated!
Resigned from company A effective 7/2, health insurance also ended that same day.
Had a situation where I needed to go to the ER and have a ct scan on 7/3 (no coverage)
New job with company B starts 7/6 and health insurance benefits also begin that day.
Questions: I have not received any cobra papers yet but should this week AFTER I start with company B. Will there be any instance where me electing cobra technically after my start date with company B, prevent me from being able to sign up for company B’s insurance in the future?
Is there a particular order I need to do stuff in? Like sign up for company B before electing cobra?
