Was under the assumption that Medicaid would cover any test or or procedure as long as the practice accepted Medicaid. I learned otherwise when I called, and they basically told me that it all depends if it’s “medically necessary” and something about authorization. I don’t want to get a test done and then receive a bill 4 months later, is there a way to pre-authorize before your test/ scan or is that not how this works?
