So I have a question. Can I have 2 Medical insurance policy’s? I currently have Kaiser premium HMO insurance but I want to Purchase a Premium policy with Blue shield PPO. The reason being is that I got diagnosed with testicular cancer and I need a surgery and there’s a really good doctor where I’m located at in California, USA at Keck Medicine USC. He’s well known for dealing with this disease and he’s a specialist for the surgery I need. Kaiser HMO is not letting me go outside of their facilities since they are an HMO plan and the offer the same services within their hospitals. I really want to get treated by the doctor I want which leads me to wanting to purchase a PPO plan with blue shield. I would also like to keep Kaiser HMO since I’ve been with them for a while and they’re a great hospital. I don’t mind paying both.
