I am about to decide which kind of plan I will use for next year and it looks like I will change from a Silver 70 PPO to a Silver 70 Trio HMO because it saves me $2000/year. I’ll have to change my PCP, but I am anyway not happy with the current one. All providers I need are in the HMO network. The one question I am left with is the cost of a medication that was approved for me under the previous PPO plan. Is there a chance that the prescription will not be approved under HMO?
Location California, Blue Shield.
Thanks!
