I’m currently pregnant, and I’ve spoken with my insurance company about what will be covered and what I need to do ahead of time for the birth.
My main question is this: I have two choices for hospitals. The hospitals are in-network, but it appears one doesn’t have an in-network radiologist and the other doesn’t have an in-network anesthesiologist. Insurance company said, “there will be no problem. Ask them to submit the claim under the in-network hospital so they will be considered in network with UHC.”
Does it really work like that? Who do I ask about submitting the claim that way? I’m afraid I’m going to get a huge bill from a provider who’s not covered.
