So.. I got a really large bill from the hospital(over 300k). The hospital states that they cannot charge my health insurance because my auto insurance’s Med pay has already paid me. While the auto insurance did pay me around 4k, it is nowhere near enough to settle the ginormous bill, which is why I asked them to send it to my primary health insurance. Once again, I just get hit with: we cannot bill your primary health insurance because your car insurance has paid and took over.
Does any of this sound right to you? Is there really a thing where the hospital can’t charge my health insurance after auto insurance’s medpay? Thanks in advance.
