How do deductibles work?

I am a new college grad that has just started working and need some help. I have been seeing a doctor that is out of network. The cost for an upcoming test (upper endoscopy) I have was quoted to me for $800 for the doctor, $250 for anesthesia, and $1500 to pay the surgical center.

In terms of insurance, I have Bluecross ANTPPO: BC-PPO 1500-70 -SCA, FT Employees Socal PPO and the deductible is listed as $1500. My plan’s out-of-pocket limit is $7500.

Can someone explain what this means for me in terms of how much I am paying out of pocket for the entire test?
