How do I go about doctor visits and surgery if Aetna is primary and Kaiser secondary?

Hello all! I have AETNA PPO primary through my employer and Kaiser HMO secondary through my spouse’s employer. I work in Texas that is why I felt the need to have Aetna. I was referred for a djs surgery by my orthodontist in California and I am scheduled to see a surgeon in Kaiser Oakland. My question is, will this pose a problem being that Kaiser is my secondary insurance? Do I need to provide Kaiser with my Aetna insurance so they can bill Aetna? I called Kaiser and the response by the agent was vague at best. I know Aetna wont cover the Kaiser visit and vice versa or am I wrong? If I end up getting surgery in Kaiser, will they bill Aetna and if Aetna denies, will Kaiser cover the surgery cost?

I am so confused because someone said Kaiser’s model will only cover visits with Kaiser so it wont matter if I have Aetna as primary. I can still do visits and get surgery in Kaiser without having Aetna in the picture.

If someone can enlighten me please or if anyone has experience, please let me know.

Thank you all so much. Happy weekend!
