I enrolled my university insurance for students, the BCBSTX one. So, I planed to use it to do my free annual physical exam (once per year, included in the insurance package). I went to a booking website called Zocdoc(netizens said it is obviously reliable) and find an in-network doctor and schedule it. The exam procedure was all good. Then, I received a medical bill of $730. Because the BCBSTX said he is not in the network… Zocdoc shows he is and when I offered my info to the frontdesk of the clinic, I even confirmed with the receptionist before the checkup and I have the Zocdoc screenshot showing that the doctor is in-network and accept the exact insurance plan.
Also, my plan is PPO. Do I still need to choose doctors based on the IN or Out-of network? I know HMO plans requires that.
