I’ve tried various resources to improve my Captivate Skills. Of course, what works for you will depend on your preferences. Do you like a comprehensive baseline overview before you start? Or would you rather jump in at the deep end and search for guidance on specifics, as the need arises? I like a bit of both. Here are notes from my personal experience.
Baseline
Type | Resource | Benefits | Bear in mind |
Paid online course and certification | The Adobe Certified Professional |
Third party book | Mastering Adobe Captivate 2019(Also involves Dr. Pooja Jaisingh. Same as above) |
Specifics
Type | Resource | Benefits | Bear in mind |
Youtube and web | eg. Paul Wilson is great |
Online community | https://elearning.adobe.com/ |
Another top tip: Video Playback speed
Both the Adobe Certified course and Youtube allow video playback speed adjustment (click the cog). I find 1.5x perfectly understandable, and it saves time. Try it!
