why is US health insurance so complicated?
My fiance and I are planning to get married.
In order to apply for a marriage license in the Middle East we both have to get tested for STD, hemoglobinopathies (which are common there) and drug screened. [They don’t really do anything about it, they just want both spouses to know what they’re getting into. For example, if you’re both carriers of a hemoglobin disorder, you should know that your offspring might have these nasty disorders… or.. you know just thought we should know your partner is a drug addict]
anyhows, will insurance pay for it? can I just walk into a random lab and ask for these and bill them to my insurance? or do i have to go to a doctor and ask for them to request these tests for us? will an online doctor work?
We both have Aetna Signature Administrators PPO/Trustmark.
Also, what is Trustmark?
