I have a few questions.

I’ve had back pain for a while now and pretty convinced I need a MRI to see what’s wrong. I’ve had x rays done and nothing alarming was found with my spine. I’ve seen a chiropractor and a physical therapist but the pain is still there. I just changed employers and my opportunity to select a plan is coming up and need some advice. I uploaded my options above. I’m thinking of going with the Choice High plan since that should cover a good portion of my cost I think. For a deductible it says $0, is that a good thing or is it simply shifting the cost somewhere else? Is there anything on there that could be alarming?

The wording of when the benefits kicks in confuses me a bit. It says “Benefits are effective the first of the month following 30 days of employment”. Does that mean if I select a plan next week it won’t start until April?

Also what would be the best way to get an MRI asap? I don’t want to start the whole process over by seeing my doctor and them recommending I just go through another round of physical therapy. Do I just walk into a hospital and ask to get an MRI?
