Has anyone else run into this? It’s cheaper for me to buy my inhaler (Symbicort) without my insurance. I contacted HR about our plan and was told that my doctor would need to send a preauthorization form so they can decide if I need it. I have been hospitalized for asthma (just once, but still) and need this to survive. It’s $250/month for my inhaler and I already spend $300+/month for my insurance. I don’t want to cancel my insurance but I can’t afford $550/month when I could cancel my insurance and use a coupon to get it for around $50/month.
