Last time I had insurance was through my parents which stopped when I was 26. I am now 28. I have never had a career and live very minimally. I have an inherited IRA under 1 million which I take required distributions from which pay the little bills I have. When I go to do my taxes each year, I don’t make enough income to need to file but I do anyways just to always be on record.
I currently don’t have health insurance but I would like to get something. I’m unsure if I qualify for Medicaid because of the amount in this inherited account but I also see people saying it only looks at income/tax returns.
If I don’t qualify for Medicaid, what other affordable options would you recommend I look into?
