To keep a long story short, I stayed in college a bit later then most. I just got my first job at 25. I chose an expensive health plan by accident at $400/month. It was quoting me about 200 but me being naive how healthcare works I thought it was per year so I said yes. It’s actually per pay period so that’s twice a month hence the 400 a month.
The open enrollment period is now over and I am trying to see if I can save myself from this. I am not even sure how much the most basic or good enough health care plan is but I will pick anything other then this.
My mom signed me up for medicaid again this year, do you guys think this qualifies as a life changing event so I can change my plan? Can I do that? In that case I’d just cancel the entire healthcare plan for my job? But also I am turning 26 in a month, will that help me change the plan? Please anything. This is killing me. Age:25/State:Los Angeles,CA/Income:57k.
