Individual dental insurer increasing benefits for future enrollees (same policy name and #, slightly higher monthly premium) after I have signed up. How can I handle this?

I have an individual dental insurance policy (indemnity) that I have had for about 2 years. Have satisfied all waiting periods. They sent me an offer for a rider to increase benefits x% per month for like $5 more a month to my monthly premium.

I checked their website to compare claims based on prior EOB’s to see if it’s worth it. In their pre-enrollment fee schedule they put on their website, I noticed they are now reimbursing like $20+ more per procedure/code billed than they were when I signed up, but only charging like $5 a month more in premiums. (On the certificate they sent me it looks like they base charges on what was 10+ years ago formula). On comparison they are only reimbursing like 30-40% of what my dentist charges. (He’s out of network but due to previous bad experiences he’s one of two that I am comfortable letting touch my teeth/recommend dental work).

Can they do this and how should I handle this situation? Since I’ve already satisfied my waiting period (despite it being the same plan name and # to select) I don’t think I can ask them to cancel and they sign up again?

Thank you!
