I just received our family’s new insurance cards and our benefits have changed. I wanted to make sure I am understanding them correctly. Here’s a picture of the card Anthem BCBS insurance card It looks like the primary care co-pay is $10, specialist is $35. In network deductible is $300 individual/$600 family, out of network is $900 individual/$1800 family. And the little suitcase in the bottom right corner means our insurance can be used out of state right? That’s the important one as I take my kids to visit the grandparents out of state frequently. Also for the deductibles, we have to meet the family deductible before anything is covered right? If I meet the individual deductible, I will still pay out of pocket until the family deductible is met right? My kids haven’t had any non-preventative care so we haven’t met our deductible in years and I am planning to take care of some back issues this year. Just want to make sure I understand this correctly. Thank you!
