I took my 9 month old to ER because he suddenly showed signs of nervous problem ( pediatrician recommended it) , ER transferred him to a pediatric hospital for further evaluation same night, was in the hospital for 2 nights and all tests came negative ( no nervous problem or anything, they really couldn’t figure out the problem), they discharged us asking us to go for physical therapy. I have Anthem PPO( IL) , I was checking the Anthem dashboard and saw a claim for 15k USD from the hospital denied citing the plan requires pre-approval and they didn’t get one. I am at loss on who to contact and what to do, can someone with experience help me navigate this? Who is responsible for getting pre-approval and what I can do here?
