So we are a company consisting of 4 people (including the Founder). It’s a remote company and others are on a different country. We’re currently trying to enroll an insurance for one of our employees in CA and the only plan that we were eligible to avail, was amounting to $520. The employees current plan is at $270/per month. We were thinking of having his insurance expenses through his old plan manually reimbursed and not proceed with enrolling a new one with the company. This has me wondering if this is something that’s legal??? or we can do as a startup company. If you have other advices on which path we should be taking, that would be totally appreciated!
