I am planning on resigning from my job on July 1st.
I’ve never quit before so I’m hoping for a little bit of advice regarding health insurance.
I had ACL replacement surgery 3 weeks ago and I’m currently in 3x weekly physical therapy, I also have a weekly therapist visit, and I take a daily medication.
Otherwise I’m quite healthy.
My questions are;
-After resigning I know I have a 60 day window to apply for COBRA or find other insurance, if my insurance is cancelled on the day of my leave will I be on the hook for any interim PT or Therapy visits or is there a grace period of coverage?
-My ACL surgery was completed and billing is being processed and split between myself and BCBS. Would I need to worry about that being affected if I changed insurance or are past events safe from any change?
Thank you in advance
