If you are an expat residing outside your country of nationality and you have both an expat international health insurance policy and a travel insurance policy, is there any value to getting an international evacuation rider for the health insurance policy?
My understanding is, people primarily use travel insurance to cover the need to be evacuated back to their country of residence for treatment. If you get this benefit as part of health insurance (not just travel), I understand it’s a cheap add-on for a huge benefit.
If your travel insurance has broad coverage, is there any value to getting an international evacuation rider for the health insurance policy? Is this stronger coverage than travel insurance?
I’ve tried looking for old posts and literature on this but couldn’t find anything.
