I and my spouse are international students living in California and have graduated recently. My spouse’s health insurance provided by the university have already expired and mine is going to expire soon. Moreover, there is a possibility that there will be a gap between when my insurance expires and my OPT is approved. We are looking for short term health insurances with flexible start dates. By “flexible” I mean something for which we don’t have to wait for the first day of next (or next next) month. Our initial search showed that this is not easy in California, if at all possible. We will appreciate any pointers to a possible solution.
