Is a statement sufficient for HSA reimbursement?

I have used a provider services and asked for a receipt in order to get reimbursed by my HSA. The HSA will release the funds with no problems, but does state I’ll need to keep proof that the reimbursement is for an HSA eligible expense. The problem is that the provider will not provide me with a receipt, but said they can send a statement which shows that the balance was paid. Payment was via a check. Is this problematic in any way or will a statement be a sufficient proof should I even need to present it?
