Is health insurance cheaper overall in a family (young adult, old parents) or separated?

my parents are old and thus have health issues. im fit and healthy and in my late 20s. i want to know if getting a plan with them will be cheaper overall for us, or if its better to get insurance on my own.

my main goals is to have an HSA, so im not sure if its even possible in that family plan. however, id prefer not paying over 250$/mo just to get it. was hoping it would be cheaper. im rarely going to go to the doctor (might want to check up a few things this year though like nasal passage for apnea, laser eye surgery, etc)

texas

thanks!
