My husband and I have been dealing with insurance hell. We filed a claim in November for therapy sessions January through October 2020, but we still haven’t been reimbursed. Our therapist had been filing them herself, but mystically they would never go through, so we paid out of pocket and they told us to submit a claim. First they said our therapist was out of network (she wasn’t), then that they got her tax ID wrong (they tried to insist we had to mail a whole new claim, but in the end after enough complaining, they just changed it for us), then they couldn’t find her contract, and now someone has finally been working on it and it’s with repricing. The amount shouldn’t have changed at all, so I don’t understand what’s going on, but they’ve said once it’s done there, it should be ready to go out… except they only print checks on Tuesdays. Another obstacle.
As of noon today, repricing hasn’t finished so now our check won’t be mailed for another week. Could someone please tell me if all this sounds normal?! They’ve been driving us up a wall with all the issues they’ve been having and we truly need this money (and therapy). For us, it’s a lot, and it’s stupidly on a credit card because we thought it wouldn’t take them THIS long to reimburse us. We’re just so tired.
Any advice would be massively appreciated.
