Hey everyone, thanks in advance for your help. When I was about 12 years old I broke my wrist and it seemed to have healed normally all the way up until recently, when I am now 20 years old. It seems as though a small part of the bone weakened over time, causing strain on my ligaments and I really can’t say for sure if it’s directly related to the injury when I was 12 because the doctor didn’t make any mention of it being specifically because of the prior break.
In any case, on to the insurance part, I’m being sent for an MRI and they said they have to get it pre approved through my insurance. I started to wonder if the fact that I (my parents, rather) have changed health insurance a couple times through the past 8 years would have any impact on my approval. I’ve been covered my entire life as far as I’m aware, all through the prior injury, in all the time since, and right now as well.
For additional context, all of my coverage has been through my parents’ employer insurance/insurance provided through their jobs.
Will the fact that I’ve changed insurance since the injury, albeit with no gaps in coverage, affect whether or not I’ll be covered for the MRI?
