I’m trying to figure out if a more expensive insurance plan would save money in the long run with an expensive non-preferred brand drug, but I don’t understand the separate deductibles. The plan has an individual deductible of $2500 and a separate prescription drug deductible of $300. Prescriptions are “$X copay after deductible” so is that just the $300 prescription deductible that needs to be met or does the individual deductible also need to be met before the copay kicks in?
