Issues with Pennie and Highmark.

So I signed up for a Highmark health insurance plan thru Pennie a few weeks ago. I haven’t received my Member ID card in the mail yet. I received a Welcome letter from Highmark last week.

I had Highmark insurance thru my last employer but the coverage ended on my last day there (which makes perfect sense). But now when I log into my Highmark online account it still shows my old coverage and not the coverage on my new plan that I signed up for thru Pennie. This plan was supposed to take effect starting today (4/1/22). I paid my full month’s premium the day I signed up for the plan.

Every time I call Pennie to find out what’s going on, they tell me I have to call Highmark. When I call Highmark, they tell me to call Pennie. I NEED TO KNOW WHAT MY MEMBER ID IS SO THAT I CAN USE MY NEW INSURANCE.

This is insane. What exactly am I supposed to do???
