Issues with Vision insurance and provider (Florida)

Hello!

I have Humana VSP which is supposed to cover medically necessary contact lenses since I am legally blind. I went to a specialty lens provider in April and they said that my insurance isn’t fully covering my lenses anymore. I called the insurance and they said they do cover 100% of the cost.

I spoke to the billing office at my provider’s, and was told that the insurance only covers $400 out of ~$1900 cost between lenses and fitting, etc and I’m responsible for the rest and was charged $969 to my card. Like isn’t that the point of using insurance? That they can get discounts from the providers?

I got my EOBs for this visit today, which say I’m supposed to owe $0 for the lenses and only $10 for the visit.

Do I have any options to get my money back?

If it matters, I used Care Credit which is a credit card specifically for medical costs. Should I go through them? I’ve no clue how to navigate this since every time I contact the doctor’s office they tell me I do owe that money.
