My wife found out this year that we need IVF. My insurance covers fertility treatment, hers doesn’t. I’ve added her to my insurance for next year but we have an appointment to start birth control this month (planning the procedure for the end of Jan). Do you think that having an appointment before pre-certification could mess up our chance at having it covered? I called my insurance but the agent just gave a vague answer and said call back after my wife is on the insurance. We’re kinda pressed for time (work gets really busy after Jan so I wouldn’t be able to take time off for appointments).
