Hello. I just received a job offer which is wonderful bc my current work environment is rather toxic. Current employer provides high mark BCBS and I have met my deductible for the year, but need to do a few expensive medical visits. New job health insurance won’t kick in till 60 days of employment. All this said it seems Cobra is the way to go. I just want to know if my coverage goes month to month or if it ends on my last day of employment? I read through the plan details and employee handbook and. It doesn’t state this anywhere. Knowing if I need to suck it up till early Nov to save $800 would really go a long way in determining when I should put in 2 weeks notice. Does this vary by insurance company or does the employer decide? Is there a way for me to find out anonymously?
