I know nothing at all about Kaiser. My questions are:
Is Kaiser an insurance company, a provider, or both?
Does Kaiser have it’s own doctors and clinics, or do you have to go out and choose a PCP like other HMO’s?
Does Kaiser have it’s own hospitals?
I guess what I would really like to know is can you avoid the usual HMO business of calling hundreds of doctors on their list to see if they still take the insurance. I was considering Kaiser because I thought maybe you avoid that by simply going to their own clinic or hospital.
