I just moved to NC and am looking for coverage. I didn’t qualify for special enrollment since I wasn’t covered previously.
I filled out a marketplace application and have been receiving multiple calls a day from private agencies.
They will not provide any plan info in writing to look over and want me to sign up based on what they verbally tell me is covered.
They are extremely pushy and when I tell them I don’t want to sign up without seeing something in writing they hang up.
Basically I’m trying to see if I can find a gp who can prescribe depression medication. Does anyone know if they can? It seems like some plans cover gp visits and medication, however plans do not cover psychiatrist appointments or they are really expensive plans. It’s also costly out of pocket for a psychiatrist so I am trying to figure out if a gp can prescribe and that would be a cheaper option.
I’m self employed and make from 1000-2500 a month so a plan that costs around $300/mo is a big chunk of my income. I want to make sure it covers what I need.
I’m feeling overwhelmed and hoping someone who knows the industry can help. Thanks.
