Plan to work as a contractor through Robert Half. They offer 2 medical plans, plan 1 is their “High Deductible Medical Plan” which doesn’t cover anything until their $6k deductible is met which is useless for me since I’d be paying OOP anyway until the $6k is met, but still this plan says it “Provides 100% coverage for non-preventive, in-network services after the deductible is met” which is better than their other plan (which I’ll get into in a second). This plan gives me access to Cigna PPO network.
Fine print says ” You are eligible for the High-Deductible Medical Plan if you have worked for Robert Half an average of 30 hours per week for 12 consecutive months. The Affordable Care Act (ACA) allows an administrative period for Robert Half to determine and make an offer to their eligible employees. Robert Half uses this administrative period to process your information and notify you. This means that you will not hear from Robert Half on the exact day you reach 12 consecutive months of work. If you are determined to be eligible, you will be notified after the administrative period ends.”*
And so since I’m not an employee of RH and would only be a contractor, I’m not eligible for this plan starting day 1 right?
The other plan is their Preventative Care Plus Plan. ” Provides 100% in-network coverage for all ACA-required preventive services ” / that meet the ACA’s requirements for minimum essential coverage
but ” No coverage for non-preventive services, such as emergency room care, hospital stays or non-preventive doctor’s office visits ”

Just need to know if I do pick up remote contract work with RH, can I keep my current Obamacare plan and use the income earned to file taxes in 2023? If I can keep my Obamacare plan, would I have to submit documents to the marketplace for proof that RH doesn’t offer eligible coverage?
Or should I just avoid working for RH altogether since they don’t have a plan that covers emergency room, hospital stays, etc starting day 1 for temp contractors?
