Marketplace financial question

Hello everyone! I am asking a question for my fiancé. He is currently applying for disability due to his schizoaffective disorder but plans on talking with his attorney to see if there’s any part time work he could do. When he went on the marketplace he estimated his yearly income to be $13,000 Which he anticipates on making around that. He was offered a plan at $50 a month and was given the full tax credit. If he ends up not working or making as much as $13,000 will he have to pay back the full amount of the premiums? We live in a state where you can only get Medicaid if you have a child. His situation is so fluid it’s hard to say how much he’s truly going to make. That’s why asking him to give an estimate is less than ideal. Please help with any advice you can give. TIA
